Daycare Administrator Job Description

We are looking for an Assistant Director to help the daily operations and activities of childcare Center.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

-Must have a daycare administrator certificate for the state of Delaware

-Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education for the position

-Two years prior management experience in a preschool setting including program planning and operations

-Experience in growing enrollment(marketing experience a plus)

-Strong leadership, verbal, and written communication skills

-Excellent understanding of age-appropriate curriculum and activities

-Effective organizational skills, time

-management skills, and the ability to multi-task-Computer proficiency

-Is a motivated self starter-Arrange coverage for staff to ensure ratio compliance as outlined by PADPW

-Flexibility in work hours if needed

JOB DESCRIPTION

-Review weekly lesson plans to ensure that lessons are developmentally appropriate and are meeting the requirements of multiple programs

-Work with teaching staff to ensure the implementation of curriculum and all classrooms are safe, attractive, and nurturing.

-Supervise all program operations on a daily basis to include working with outside vendors

-Encourage parent and community engagement.

-Prepare monthly parent newsletters.

-Maintain family communications regarding student progress, concerns, questions, and other school activities/events/etc.

-Perform classroom/teacher observations and prepare yearly staff evaluations.

-Supervision of all staff
